NHS England has issued details of the changes to GP incentives to support the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. Some QOF incentive payments will be based on prior years performance. Other funds are diverted to the Covid-19 vaccination campaign provided all practices in a Primary Care network sign up to participate actively by 10th December. The changes persist until April 2022. Additionally NHS England had made arrangements with Microsoft for the telephony facility of Teams (that is telephony over broadband) to be usable for outgoing calls by GP practices until April 2022, thereby freeing up phone lines for in-coming calls. Consultation on Same Day Healthcare and Walk-in Service
The long-awaited consultation on same day healthcare has been started by Berkshire West CCG. This includes the question of whether the suspended Walk-In service at the Broad Street mall GP practice should be restarted. It was suspended because the CCG failed to reach agreement with the provider Assura - a partnership between local practices and Virgin Healthcare. Please complete the survey here . The service is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, 5pm to 11pm at Ajilon House, 28 Friar Street, Reading RG1 1DT (next to Treatz).
